Severe flooding occurred after two retaining dams collapsed, leading to a third overflowing.
CAPE TOWN – The Human Settlements Department has sent an emergency team to assist families displaced by flooding in the Swartlands Municipality of the Western Cape. 
Three retention dams burst and flooded homes, leaving hundreds of people without shelter. 
The Human Settlements Department spokesperson, Hlengiwe Nhlabathi-Mokota discussed this with eNCA.
